La Barra is a small seaside resort on the Uruguayan coast, within the department of Maldonado, 10 kilometers away from Punta del Este.
Former fishing village located a few miles from Punta del Este, Maldonado Bar has become a favorite for tourists of all ages. Characterized by its style, its lake, with beautiful beaches, colorful architecture of its houses, permanent movement that give art galleries, antique shops and flea market. Complement different styles of restaurants, pubs and clubs that attract young people to fill their streets looking for fun, turning the night into a special show. The Punte de Barr, which allows crossing the Maldonado Creek is one of the greatest symbols of the region and tourism of Uruguay. It was built in 1965 and in 1999 the second installment was made to ease the congestion.
